The holder of the CAP in Signage and Graphic Decoration is a qualified arts and crafts professional involved in the production of markings.
At the end of the training, he/she is able, based on specifications or a creative brief to respect the aesthetic criteria and technical constraints of the project:
- recover files
- adapt them to the formats and production tools: cutting plotter, digital printer, laminator, digital engraving and cutting machine, 3D printer
- identify and prepare a substrate
- start production of the marking
- shape and fit on substrate
- control quality
- install on site
- maintain their workstation
- comply with safety instructions and regulations
BC01 - Graphic analysis and production
- Collect, classify and prioritise information;
- Locate and identify graphic, aesthetic and stylistic characteristics.
- Present graphic and aesthetic solutions.
- Translate intentions graphically and digitally.
BC02 - Making a digital mock-up and technical analysis of a mark
- Locate and identify technical characteristics.
- Present technical solutions.
- Compose a digital mock-up.
- Identify the stages of production.
- Manage an IT environment.
BC03 - Making a marking
- Prepare materials, equipment, tools, materials;
- Prepare sheets for production;
- Prepare substrates;
- Carry out cutting and finishing operations for the marking;
- Carry out engraving operations and their finishing;
- Carry out digital printing operations and their finishing ;
- Carry out 3D printing operations and their finishing;
- Apply marking to flat and volume surfaces;
- Place marking on sites;
- Manage deadlines;
- Check conformity and quality;
- Manage safety and the environment;
- Maintain materials, equipment and tooling;
- Communicate within the company and with various partners.
