The holder of the "Vehicle Maintenance Option B" Vocational Aptitude Certificate carries out his service activity in all road transport vehicle maintenance sectors: in companies dependent on manufacturers' networks (branches, dealers, agents), or those dealing with all makes of vehicles, in the maintenance departments of transport and rental companies.The HGV mechanic's job requires perfect mastery of maintenance operations: dismantling, adjustments, replacement of components, diagnostics, etc.
The future HGV mechanic will know how to organise himself, maintain and repair his workstation, understand a work process and order the parts needed for a job. They will carry out routine maintenance on vehicles, dismantling and reassembling mechanisms and contributing to quality.

Vocational teaching:
- Carrying out first-level maintenance operations
- Carrying out a breakdown diagnosis
- Scheduling the work
- Carrying out component replacements on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and carrying out simple checks

- Replacing common components (brakes, oil changes...) and making adjustments accordingly

Maximum total duration of 3,640 hours, including 2,840 hours in a company and 800 hours at the training centre.
