The holder of this diploma devotes most of his activity to fitting various types of joinery: doors, windows, cupboards, parquet flooring, staircases, etc.
He mainly works on a building site to assemble and fix his work. He may, however, be required to manufacture, in the workshop, elements for adapting or adjusting the work and/or products to be fitted.
This is a professional worker employed by companies that install joinery, fittings and fixtures in wood and derived or associated materials, particularly in the shipbuilding sector.
This training is geared towards developing techniques and skills for fitting out the interiors of pleasure boats and commercial vessels.
Vocational teaching
Knowledge of the materials used (wood, sheet, associated, insulating, barrier, pointing, etc.) and preservation and finishing products (fungicides, insecticides, paint, varnish, etc.).)
Preparation and organisation of installation or fitting work on site: analysis of technical documents describing the work or works to be installed (shape, dimensions...) the conditions for carrying it out (materials and tools available).

Manufacturing (preparation, machining, shaping, assembly, fitting and finishing.
Installation and making the installation site safe on site.
Installation of exterior and interior joinery, fittings and furniture, complying with health and safety rules.
