The holder of this CAP carries out the maintenance and upkeep of premises and spaces for collective use (communal premises, hospitals, retirement homes, buildings, schools, company premises) in accordance with safety regulations.
He/she is required to work on fixed structures (masonry, partitions, painting), mobile structures (openings, furniture) and networks (plumbing, heating, electricity)
On completion of this training, he/she will be able to carry out maintenance, servicing and repair work on technical installations for community buildings

Vocational teaching modules
Technology: Reading blueprints. Technical communication, standards and regulations, eco-construction. Rules of conduct and regulations: prevention, health, environment.
Implementation: maintenance on fixed structural work and finishing work structures. Masonry, plasterboard, painting and coatings.
Maintenance on mobile structures: joinery (openings, furniture).
Maintenance of networks: electricity, plumbing
General education modules
French, history-geography, mathematics-science, new information and communication technologies, relations with the professional environment.

Officers can progress to the position of maintenance manager, specialise in a particular trade: electricity, plumbing, thermal, climatic, refrigeration installations....Possible further study: for example, a BAC PRO in hygiene and the environment.
