CAP (vocational training certificate) for multi-skilled tradespeople

Objectives:

The holder of the "CAP Équipier polyvalent du commerce" diploma carries out his/her activity in an omnichannel context within a commercial unit that distributes products and services. To do this, they comply with health and safety rules.

On completion of the course, they will be able to:
- receive and monitor orders and parcels;
- contribute to supplying and enhancing the commercial unit;
- welcome, inform, advise and support customers throughout their purchasing process.

The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

BC01 - Receiving and tracking orders

• Assisting with placing orders with suppliers

BC02 - Displaying and stocking

• Stocking, shelving and organising stock according to product type
• Displaying products and optimising the retail space
• Assist with product packaging
• Install and update signage
• Prevent stock shrinkage and assist with stock-taking

BC03 - Advising and assisting customers throughout their shopping journey

• Preparing the work area
• Engaging with customers
• Supporting the customer journey in an omnichannel context
• Complete the customer service process
• Handle routine complaints

BC04 – Prevention – Health – Environment

• Apply a method for analysing an everyday situation and documentation
• Link a physiological phenomenon, an environmental issue or a regulatory provision to a preventative measure
• Propose a solution to resolve a problem related to health, the environment or consumer affairs, and justify a choice
• Communicate in writing and orally using clear syntax and appropriate technical vocabulary
• Respond to an emergency situation

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Monitoring and individualisation

For participants with disabilities: training and certification arrangements may be adapted, with support provided by the disability liaison officer at the CFA of the Nice Academy.

Equivalences and pathways: to be assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the candidate’s background.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
