The holder of the CAP "composites, plastics boilermaking" is a specialised worker capable, by virtue of his mastery of manual techniques, of producing plastic parts by the unit or using semi-automated techniques for parts in small series:

- In the field of composites, he is proficient in contact moulding, vacuum moulding, simultaneous spraying, shrink-fitting and finishing techniques.
- He or she has a basic understanding of repair.
- He or she has a good knowledge of health and safety and environmental protection rules.


The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 - Preparing for production

  • Identify, use and interpret documents relating to materials, equipment and, in particular, tools, quality and safety
  • Set up your workstation with the necessary tools and peripherals.
  • Carry out initial adjustments in accordance with requirements, taking into account safety and environmental risks
  • Complete the required documentation (production orders and procedures)

BC02 - Production of composites and sheet metal products

  • Identify, utilise and interpret documents relating to manufacturing
  • Ensure monitoring and carry out the required manufacturing
  • Adjust settings or raise the alarm
  • Halt production whilst complying with safety and environmental protection regulations
  • Complete the required documentation (defect reports, procedure sheets, workstation monitoring records or other documents in the production file)

BC04 - Mathematics and Physics – Chemistry

BC05 - Physical Education and Sport (for apprentices)

BC06 - Prevention – Health – Environment

  • Apply a method for analysing a situation in working life or everyday life and relevant documentation
  • Link a physiological phenomenon, an environmental issue, or a regulatory provision, with a preventative measure
  • Propose a solution to resolve a problem relating to health, the environment or consumer affairs, and justify a choice
  • Communicate in writing and orally using clear syntax and appropriate technical vocabulary
  • Respond appropriately to an emergency situation

NB: Exemption from general education modules may be granted under certain conditions.

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.


Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years
