CAP Security Agent

At the end of the course, the learner will be able to ensure safety in the following areas:

- protection of people,

- rescue of people,

- surveillance and protection of property,

- protection of the environment.

The training is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions in order to promote practical and progressive learning.

BC01 – Prevention and deterrence of malicious acts and negligence

• Prevention of malicious acts and incidents
• Monitoring and implementation of security measures

BC02 - Safety of people and property

• Identifying and reporting physical situations that pose risks
• Preventing risks
• Taking appropriate measures to eliminate or minimise the risk
• Establishing a security perimeter
• Responding following an incident and taking precautionary measures
• Responding: carrying out procedures and techniques in accordance with PSE1 certification

BC03 - Fire safety

• Identify and report situations posing a fire risk
• Prevent fire risks
• Respond: carry out procedures and techniques in accordance with the SSIAP1 certification
• Establish a fire safety perimeter

BC04 - French and History-Geography – Moral and Civic Education

BC05 - Mathematics and Physics-Chemistry

BC06 - Physical Education and Sport

BC07 - Prevention – Health – Environment

• Apply a method for analysing a situation in professional or everyday life and relevant documentation
• Establish a link between a physiological phenomenon, an environmental issue, a regulatory provision, with a preventative measure
• Propose a solution to resolve a problem relating to health, the environment or consumer affairs, and justify a choice
• Communicate in writing and orally using clear syntax and appropriate technical vocabulary
• Respond to an emergency situation

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables learners to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

CAP in 1 year

In apprenticeship: The training is accessible up to 3 months after the start of the course, subject to validation of your application, the assignments given in the host structure (diploma compliance) and available places

Successful completion of the "Security Agent" vocational aptitude certificate examination enables application to the National Council for Private Security Activities (CNAPS) for a "Surveillance Gardiennage" professional card.

Professional integration can be achieved in jobs offered by:

- companies with their own security service,

- companies providing security services,

- public sector structures.

After completing their diploma with specific certifications, holders of the CAP Security Agent may eventually be able to access other jobs: cash in transit, remote surveillance, physical protection of individuals, airport surveillance, dog teams...
