The holder of a BTS SCBH diploma works in the fields of construction, extension and renovation of timber structures, as an essential partner to the head of the company. They can carry out activities involving the design, preparation, organisation and monitoring of construction sites, and can therefore be expected to progress to the positions of works constructor, project manager, price research office, technical research office, workshop production manager, or even assistant to the head of the company. They may also consider taking over a company. You will coordinate, manage, direct or carry out construction work on wooden buildings (single-family homes; apartment blocks; sports, commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings) - maintenance, renovation, raising and extension of existing buildings - carpentry (traditional or industrial), building envelope and roofing. His or her initiative in finding technical solutions, versatility and specialism make him or her an appreciated and recognised technical manager as a specialist in the design and construction of wooden structures, a methods manager, an IT expert, a planner, a works scheduler and a specialist in regulations.
For a complete optimal course of 1100 hours in the training centre over full weeks. Depending on your profile (jobseeker, employee on a professionalisation contract and your experience) the length of the training course may vary: it will be determined during the positioning carried out with the GRETA-CFA teaching team.

One or more periods in a company complement the teaching in the training centre: design actions: analysis, diagnosis, technological solution, technical file. Preparation and method: manufacturing file, quality, production resources, workstation.Production scheduling and management: schedules, stock management. Manufacturing, implementation: procurement, workstations, manufacturing, production monitoring. Relations, leadership: communication, staff training.

The minimum entry requirements for the course are: a level IV diploma with professional experience or a baccalaureate in technology, a general scientific baccalaureate or an industrial vocational baccalaureate. For a CIF or VAE the GRETA-CFA will direct you to our dedicated service.
