BTS GTLA - Transport management and associated logistics

The BTS Transport Management and Associated Logistics trains specialists capable of managing and optimising national and international flows of goods who:

• are capable of organising transport and logistics services at local, regional, national, European and international level.
•  can optimise operations in a context of globalisation of trade, taking into account the complementary nature of modes of transport (air, rail, river, sea...) and sustainable development.
• contribute to the implementation of strategic decisions and will coordinate operations between the company's various departments and with external partners.

As part of their duties, this transport and logistics professional will be expected to manage and lead a team, master management skills enabling them to set up, take over or develop a business in the freight transport and logistics sector.

The activity of the holder of the BTS "Transport Management and Associated Logistics" is carried out within the framework of the following four areas of activity :

• implementing transport operations, logistics services and subcontracting (analysing a transport request and drawing up specifications for your customers)
• managing material resources, monitoring the progress of operations, coordinating operations between different departments
• knowing national and international flows of goods, monitoring flows of goods and services and abroad
• analysing, sustaining and developing the company's commercial, social, environmental and financial activity.

The course is broken down into the following courses:

• Culture générale et expression
• Langue vivante étrangère
• Culture économique, legal and managerial culture
• Implementation of transport operations and logistics services
• Design of transport operations and logistics services and analysis of the performance of a transport activity and logistics services
• Sustainability and development of the transport activity and logistics services
• Living language
• In-depth module

• Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 5 (BTS)
