BTS Communication Project Design - Option B Printed Product Design

The holder of the BTS in communication project design is able to:

• Study client requirements and advise them
• Formalise the production file
• Manage and optimise production
• Control and analyse production
• Participate in the development of the company

The course is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

BC01 – Producing printed communication materials in response to a client’s request

• Carrying out research and retrieving information from technical documentation, either on-site or remotely
• Identifying the technologies and production resources to be utilised
• Defining a production process

BC02 - Designing graphic processes as part of the production of printed materials

Validating the products to be produced, defining the technical specifications and drawing up a quotation

• Drawing up the technical specifications and the quotation
• Defining and organising production processes
• Planning and monitoring production
• Quality control and analysis of output
• Process optimisation and continuous improvement
• Collaborative resolution of production issues

BC03 - Collaborative definition of communication products

• Participating in a project team and justifying technical choices
• Analysing the client’s requirements
• Drawing up functional specifications or contributing to their drafting
• Participating in a collaborative process to propose product development solutions

BC04 - Monitoring the production of communication materials within a company

• Integrating into a professional environment, monitoring technological developments, and capitalising on experience
• Communicating in writing and orally, including in English
• Participate in production and suggest improvements to the working environment
• Implement a quality, health, safety and environmental protection plan

General education modules:

French language; Modern foreign language; Mathematics; Physics and applied chemistry.

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

The holder of the BTS (Advanced Technician's Certificate) in Communication Project Management works primarily in companies in the printing and communication industries. They may work for a printer, a communications agency or a graphic design agency, handling technical aspects and managing subcontracting. They may also work for a service provider offering solutions and/or services for the production of multimedia and/or printed products and, in general, in all companies or government departments that have integrated multimedia, reprographics or printing departments.
