The holder of the Advanced Technician's Certificate in "Industrial Product Design" will work in the fields of design and definition of mechanical assemblies, whether or not they are integrated into a multi-technical system. They work in collaboration with specialists in the fields of motorisation, automation, energy, transformation processes, etc. as part of a design team led by a project manager. They are mainly involved at the start of the product design and production chain (customer relations, preliminary and detailed design and pre-industrialisation in direct contact with production specialists). On completion of the course, you will be able to:
Participate in the response to a project: analyse the expression of a need and draw up functional specifications
Proceed with preliminary and detailed design: design and choose a technical solution for a mechanism, pre-industrialise and define an optimised technical solution for a mechanism
Participate in the life of a design office

Vocational teaching modules:
Block 1 - Expression of industrial design need and functional specifications
Search for information in technical documentation, in a local or remote network
Develop or participate in the development of functional specifications
Block 2 - Preliminary industrial design
Reconsider and specify technologies and means of production
Imagine and propose technical solutions in response to a specification
Size all or part of an energy chain independently and/or in collaboration with a specialist
Optimise the choice of a technical solution, taking account of technical and economic constraints

Block 3 - Detailed industrial design
Design and define, using CAD software and associated simulation tools, all or part of an assembly
Integrate eco-design into the design of a product
Elaborate the definition file for a mechanical product (dimensioned and toleranced parts)
Block 4 - Prototyping in industrial design and production

Integrating prototyping into the production of a product
Block 5 - Conducting a collaborative optimisation project
Be involved in a project group and argue for technical choices
Participate in a collaborative product design and realisation process
