The aim of this BTS is to train a senior technician to assist a biologist or laboratory manager in medical analysis laboratories.
prepare solutions or reagents (culture media...), dose and use laboratory materials and equipment (optical equipment, microplate readers...) required for analyses.
acquire a range of instrumental and technical technologies for carrying out various analyses: microbiological, haematological, immuno-haematological, cytological, biochemical, etc. on samples.
prepare for the theoretical test for the certificate of competence in blood sampling
Microbiology: general bacteriology, systematic bacteriology, medical microbiology, virology, mycology, parasitology
Haematology-Anatomopathology: blood and bone marrow cytology, haemopathy, haemostasis, immuno-haematology, histological, cytological and cytogenetic techniques
Immunology: antigen and antibodies and mechanisms of immunity
Preparation for the certificate of competence in blood sampling
Knowledge of the professional environment: legislation, quality, employment law, health and safety, office automation and communication techniques

The aim of the BTS is professional integration but, with a very good record, further study is possible in a professional degree (in the agri-food or pharmaceutical industries, for example), a general degree in biology or chemistry, or an ATS preparatory class.
