BTS Aeronautics (from 2026 examination session)

• The aim of the course is to acquire a specialist qualification in the fields of production organisation and maintenance process engineering at aircraft production and maintenance sites.

• The holder of this BTS is able to  :
  - take part in the organisation of production and maintenance to prepare the activity of operators, whether in production or in operation;
  - develop aircraft production or maintenance processes;
  - carry out inspection, test, diagnostic and fine-tuning activities on aircraft, their systems and equipment, including ramp and/or base or line maintenance;
  - provide independent technical support to customers;
  - participate in the development of aircraft and equipment maintenance policy;
  - participate in the monitoring and review of aircraft airworthiness;
  - participate in the continuous improvement of processes within a team.

• An excellent command of the English language is required: frequent contact with customers, often English-speaking, work sometimes carried out in foreign countries, documentation generally written in English

The training is structured around different skill blocks (BC)

Professional areas:

BC01 - Industrialisation of aircraft production or maintenance

• Analysing a design file, a work request or a non-conformity/hazard
• Defining an assembly or maintenance process
• Evaluating the performance of a manufacturing or maintenance process
• Designing and organising an improvement action.

BC02 - Organisation of an aircraft production or maintenance activity

• Organise the work schedule
• Ensure the launch and monitoring of work
• Communicate in a professional situation (French/English)

BC03 - Inspection, testing, commissioning or recommissioning

• Conduct an inspection, a test
• Diagnose the causes of a non-conformity, of a hazard
• Ensure compliance and traceability of inspections and tests

BC04 - Aircraft airworthiness

• Exploit data
• Edit documentation
• Guarantee compliance with airworthiness requirements

General areas:

Apprenticeship training: Training is available within a minimum of 48 hours, subject to validation of your application and the position in the company (diploma compliance), until the end of the 1st month in which the action begins.
