BPJEPS Speciality: Sports Educator Physical activities for all

Acquire the professional skills to become a leader capable of:

• Designing, leading and supervising physical and sporting activities independently, with different audiences
• Knowing and getting involved in the running of professional structures: associations, sports clubs, etc.
• Participate in the discovery, awareness and safe introduction to physical activities or sports, diversified for all audiences, education in citizenship to respect for the environment.

Physical activities:

• knowledge of all audiences (children to senior citizens), including audiences with disabilities
• practice and lead sessions in the field of recreational, maintenance and outdoor activities

Fundamental knowledge: Pedagogy; Characteristics of the public; Anatomy, physiology, biomechanics; Psychology, sociology, group management; Regulations, safety; Knowledge of professional structures

• Brevet Professionnel de la Jeunesse, de l'Education populaire et du Sport (vocational diploma in youth, popular education and sport) Level 4

Be 18 years of age on the day of the plenary certification panel

At the time of selection pass the entry sports tests (TEP) with GRETA-CFA, or have already passed them with another organisation (tests with national validity, obligation of the certifier)

Present a recent medical certificate specifying the ability to do sport and supervise a public in sports activities.

Positioning prior to entry into training.

Remedial interviews with the educational coordinator during training.

For beneficiaries with disabilities: possible adaptation of training and certification procedures, support by the TH referent for the session (or that of the GRETA-CFA).

Professional sports instructors with degrees in the field and significant experience in adult training. Professional instructors who are experts in the field of sports activities, including disabled sports.

This diploma is registered with the RNCP: 37191

4 units of certification must be validated to obtain the diploma. Possibility of accommodating people who only have to validate certain UC: notion of skill blocks taken into account. A make-up examination session is available for each of the CUs if required (diploma regulations). Certification: written dossiers to be completed, oral presentations to the jury, simulated sporting situations assessed by professional juries recognised by the certifying ministry: DRAJES

In the event of partial validation of the certification, the validity period of the UC obtained is for life

To be able to Integrate the training: in addition to the pre-requisites indicated on the form:

Be a holder of the PSC1 (or equivalent)

the TEPs (indicated as pre-requisites): p16 annexe IV arrêté du 21 juin 2016

Satisfy:

- the positioning test to assess the level of French with regard to this Bac-level diploma.

- the psycho-technical tests

The strengths of the establishment:

Most of the lecturers have been working for GRETA for many years on this course, but they are also professionals in sports activities with all types of public. Some of them work in specialised facilities for people with disabilities.

Former GRETA trainees, who have been taken on in professional structures, become "company tutors" for our new trainees, knowing the quality of our training.

Total pass rate: 77.5% out of 28 people sitting the exam

Partial pass rate: 21.73% out of 28 people sitting the exam

Integration rate into the intended profession: 52.17%

Overall integration rate into employment: 56.43%

Tempture rate: 0% (apprenticeship)

Interruption rate during training (all groups): 17.64%

Study continuation rate: 27%

 Satisfaction rate: 100% 

Recommendation rate: 67%, but 33% of trainees gave a mark of 7 or 8 on a scale of 0 to 10, which brings the recommendation percentage down sharply. A mark of 7 or 8 on a scale of 0 to 10 is still very honourable!
