 BPJEPS - Speciality: Sports Educator, specialising in cycling activities

The BPJEPS - Speciality Sports Educator specialising in Cycling Activities enables the professional certification requirement laid down in article L 212-1 of the French Sports Code to be met.

The holder of this BPJEPS is able to carry out the following activities:

  • Information gathering with a view to an inventory of the structure's environment, the needs of the public and the funding/resources that can be mobilised in the field of sport or animation
  • Proposal of projects within the framework of the organisation of the structure responding to changes in the needs of the public
  • Organisation, implementation and supervision of the realisation of a project within the organisation of the structure in the field of sport or entertainment
  • Evaluation of the project in the field of sport or entertainment and transmission of information within the structure on the public welcomed
  • Information and mobilisation of the public, and their entourage, within the framework of the activities of a structure in the field of sport or entertainment
  • Implementation of promotional actions aimed at the public, introduction to and learning about cycling activities
  • Evaluation of sessions and cycles of discovery, introduction and learning sessions about cycling activities
  • Build up a fleet of bikes, choosing the right equipment for the different cycling activities, to ensure a diverse and safe experience
  • Definition of areas, sites and routes for cycling activities

RNCP40526BC01 - Design and implement activity projects as part of the work organisation of a structure in the field of sport or activity

  • Analysing the territory and identifying the players to contribute to the development of the structure

  • Identifying the public, including people with disabilities, to identify their needs

  • Gathering the expectations of the public and partners to promote inclusion

  • Designing projects tailored to the objectives, resources and the local offer

  • Planning and organising actions by integrating resources and ecological impacts

  • Coordinating the team and monitoring the project

  • Managing administrative obligations using digital tools

  • Evaluating results and formalising an assessment with areas for improvement

RNCP40526BC02 - Enhancing the value of activities and projects Promote the activities and projects of an organisation in the field of sport or entertainment

  • Disseminate information within the framework of the organisation

  • Adapt communication to the audience, particularly those with disabilities

  • Choose tools that are consistent with the objectives and target audiences

  • Draft promotional material adapted to the media used

RNCP40526BC03 - Design, run in safety, and evaluate discovery sessions and cycles, introduction to and learning of cycling activities within the framework of the structure's project and work organisation

  • Define the aims and objectives of a cycle in line with the project

  • Design progressive sessions adapted to the public and the environment

  • Organise the material and regulatory conditions to guarantee the safety of the participants

  • Welcome participants and present objectives and safety rules

  • Lead sessions by adapting teaching methods

RNCP40526BC04 - Manage and maintain the equipment needed for cycling activities and create areas, sites and itineraries

  • Supervising technical and regulatory developments

  • Selecting and putting into service suitable bicycles

  • Checking protective equipment and carrying out routine repairs

Maximum total duration of 1,036 hours, including 420 hours in a company and 616 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

  • Have a Prévention Secours Civiques (PSC) certificate or equivalent
  • Pass the Test d'Exigences Préalables (TEP) before entering the training course
