In accordance with the provisions of article L 212-1 of the French Sports Code, coaching in rugby union requires possession of a professional qualification listed in appendix II-1 of the same code. The BPJEPS speciality "sports educator" majoring in "rugby XV" enables this qualification requirement to be met.
The holder of this BPJEPS is able to carry out the following activities:
Participating in the running of the structure
Designing and carrying out an activity project in the field of rugby union
Conducting activities involving initiation, discovery and learning about rugby union
Ansuring the safety of participants and third parties during rugby union sessions

- To take into account the characteristics of the public in their environments in a citizenship education approach

Maximum total duration of 1,470 hours, including 924 hours on the job and 546 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.
All audiences
The prerequisites for entry to the training course are as follows: a) Hold one of the following first aid training certificates: - "Level 1 civic prevention and first aid" (PSC1) or "First aid training certificate" (AFPS); - "Level 1 team first aid" (PSE 1) currently valid; - "Level 2 team first aid" (PSE 2) currently valid; - Valid level 1 or level 2 "emergency first aid training certificate" (AFGSU); - Valid "workplace first aid certificate" (SST);
b) Proof of having played rugby union in competition for one sporting season, by means of a certificate issued by the manager of the organisation in which the activity was carried out, or Proof of a minimum of 80 hours' experience in rugby union, by means of a certificate issued by the manager(s) of the organisation(s) in which the experience was acquired. These prerequisites will be verified by producing the aforementioned certificates
