Technical agent for prevention and security

The holder of the Brevet Professionnel "Agent Technique de Prévention et de Sécurité" is a professional whose competence as a technician is exercised both in situations of individual responsibility and in situations of team management. This skill is characterised by:

- An ability to analyse various situations, the skills to deal with them,

- An ability to discern the limits of all interventions within the framework of the regulations in force, the instructions received and to provoke the intervention of the appropriate assistance services,

- An ability to ensure the updating of his/her technological knowledge

The objectives of the BP Technical Prevention Agent training are;

IN A PREVENTION SITUATION:

To make an inventory of the risks specific to a company, to analyse them and to propose the means suitable for preventing them,

To organise and maintain functional relations with the assistance services so as to facilitate their possible intervention,

Locate the location and identify the nature of the equipment made available to them,

Assess its suitability for the corresponding risk and report back,

Receive and process information transmitted by remote monitoring technical means, whether on a site or as part of a remote monitoring centre.

 IN AN INTERVENTION SITAUTION

To choose, according to their compatibility with the nature of the disaster and their degree of effectiveness, the material and human means of intervention,

To discern the limits of the action to be taken, to confirm the need for intervention by the technical assistance or private or public services and to prepare for it,

To report orally and in writing in a precise and detailed manner.

He is also capable of:

- Organising the work of a team, ensuring cohesion, command and taking on the corresponding administrative tasks,

- Giving orders in compliance with the regulations in force and/or instructions received.

 His or her technical knowledge must enable him or her to understand the material resources available to him or her and to use technical documents to appropriate a new device.

French expression and openness to the world, mathematics, physical sciences

• Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 4 (Baccalauréat, BP, BT)
