Boost towards construction trades

This training course provides participants with an insight into the various trades and skills associated with the building and construction industry.

The main objectives of the course are :

• discover the targeted branch, sector and/or trade and their specific conditions
• acquire the knowledge and skills preparatory to a qualification
• open up new prospects for orientation and define a professional target
• consolidate a choice of professional orientation
• gather all the conditions favourable to a search for training or employment in this sector of activity

At the end of it the participants :

• have a clearer idea of the contexts and conditions for training and employment that are open to them
• know the tools that will enable them to prospect for jobs or training
• have learned how to present themselves to potential trainers or employers

The training programme consists of the following modules:

• Module 1: Joining the course and determining your personal and professional profile
• Module 2: Identifying the various construction and public works trades and the needs of the region
• Module 3 : Undertake work placements in reconstructed workshops
• Module 4: Develop a suitable strategy for seeking employment or training
• Module 5: Acquire or update general and technical knowledge related to the target sector
• Module 6: Implement the action plan and assess progress
