This course focuses on acquiring technical and economic knowledge in all areas of construction.

The holder of the baccalauréat professionnel Technicien d'études du bâtiment, option Assistant en architecture, exercises his/her skills in 3 main areas of intervention, under the control of his/her hierarchy for architectural work and technical and/or administrative studies such as:

architectural work,
technical and/or administrative studies,
monitoring of non-complex work not requiring major commitments from the project owner.

After surveying and describing works for the design project, he/she will be able to produce sketches, models and perspectives and use CAD, DAO and image processing graphics techniques and software.

In technical and/or administrative studies, he/she will be able to participate in the construction of files, the verification of graphic documents, the quantification and partial estimation of a project.

He/she may assist his/her hierarchy in this field or represent it in the context of work that does not require major commitments from the project management or the coordination of complex work. Their main task is to translate architectural projects into graphic form. In the course of the job, the functions performed are linked to the phases in the development of an architectural programme.

Vocational courses

Technical and economic courses in all areas of construction.

Professional environment of construction: regulatory texts, building companies, partners, project design, communication, etc.

Study of buildings: personal comfort and safety (insulation, acoustics, ventilation, etc.), construction techniques and implementation (topography, load-bearing structures, interior fittings and technical building equipment, finishes, etc.), study of structures (loads and balance, mechanical study and technical choices).

Architectural project: production of graphic documents, development of presentation elements, analysis of a construction programme, construction economics (quantity surveys and estimates), architecture-history and developments (including urban planning and sustainable environment), administrative obligations and procedures, modes of representation (sketches, computer graphics, CAD, models, work survey..):

communication and site monitoring, presentation of a site monitoring activity, economic monitoring of a project, works monitoring
realization: site preparation and monitoring (planning and settlement of works),
accessibility and adaptability of buildings to disabled people.

General courses

Mathematics, physical and chemical sciences, economics and management, health and environmental prevention, modern languages, French, history, geography and civic education, applied arts and artistic culture, physical and social education

Diploma from the Ministry of National Education and Youth Level 4 (Baccalauréat, BP, BT)

Maximum total duration of 3,430 hours, of which 2,200 hours on the job and 1,230 hours at the training centre.
