The holder of the vocational baccalaureate Intervention on the built heritage is able to:
- carry out major maintenance work concerning or having an impact on the structure of the building
- restore or reconstruct all or part of the building in compliance with the rules relating to the conservation of the architectural heritage
- carry out additions in harmony with the existing works.
Initiated to the discovery of traditional or ancient techniques and their appropriation, to the testing - evaluation - rectification approaches required by a heritage-friendly approach, to the specific techniques of intervention on an existing building that may be occupied, the holder carries out improvement, rehabilitation, restoration, renovation work on constructions falling within the scope of the built heritage in compliance with the performance expected at regulatory and contractual levels in the areas of respect for the environment, reduction of energy requirements and sustainable development.
More specifically, the holder of the vocational baccalaureate Intervention on the built heritage - Option A Masonry is able to carry out the following activities:
- Carry out underpinning or foundation work
- Carry out masonry work (rubble stone, ashlar, brick, terracotta, mixed masonry, unbaked earth, dry stone, ...)
- Carry out and/or repair rendered facings
- Repair traditional masonry (rubble stone, ashlar, brick, terracotta, mixed masonry, unbaked earth, dry stone, ....
- Treating stone and brick facings
- Working on an arch, vault or cupola
- Creating or restoring old floors
- Creating or restoring floors
- Creating an opening or modifying the existing structure
- Creating drains, networks and pipes
