The holder of the vocational baccalaureate "Heating, Air Conditioning and Renewable Energy Installer" (ICCER) works on sanitary, thermal, ventilation and air conditioning installations to ensure assembly, fluid and electrical connections, commissioning, checking operation and certain improvement and repair work.

He prepares, carries out and checks his work and draws up a work report. He carries out his work taking into account regulations relating to the environment, quality and the safety of people and property. They are also responsible for ensuring the safety of their work. They play an active role in protecting the environment and improving energy efficiency. He receives work instructions from his line manager but, most of the time, he is the only person working on the customer's premises.

The holder of this vocational baccalaureate carries out the following professional activities:

- preparation of the operations to be carried out
- carrying out an installation
- commissioning an installation
- improvement and repair work
- communication

In a profession that is constantly evolving (renewable energies, cogeneration, etc.), the professional technician contributes to improving user comfort while being concerned about preserving the environment and controlling energy. Their work may cover a number of areas: design, planning, consultancy, manufacture, installation, adjustment and commissioning of energy and climate systems: fluid and electrical installations, sanitary, heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment, etc.

The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to encourage hands-on, progressive learning.

 BC03 – Improvement and troubleshooting work

Throughout the programme, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Maximum total duration of 2850 hours, including 1500 hours in a company and 1350 hours at the training centre.

Assessments are organised throughout the course and at the end of the programme, in accordance with the qualification framework. Assessment tests may take the form of in-course assessments (CCF) and/or final examinations.

Support with exam preparation is provided throughout the course to help candidates succeed.

This qualification is awarded following validation by the academic examination board.

If a candidate fails the qualification, they retain credit for the modules they have passed and may retake the remaining examinations at a later date. The modules passed remain valid for 5 years

These apprenticeship contract places are integrated into a class that comes under initial training (made up of pupils with school status) and are subject to enrolment at the lycée.

The training is accessible as an apprenticeship from the second year of the diploma and after at least a first year as a pupil at the school.
