Acquisition of the knowledge required, in line with French medical recommendations for good practice, to identify a medical emergency and manage it as part of a team, using non-invasive techniques while awaiting the arrival of the medical team.
The objectives of level 2 emergency care training are to acquire knowledge enabling:
1. The identification of a medical emergency situation and its management, alone or as part of a team, including remote guidance for the performance of emergency procedures, pending the arrival of the specialist medical team
2. Participation in the response to a collective emergency or an exceptional health situation
The training is organised around 3 modules (Order of 1 July 2019 amending the Order of 30 December 2014):
The AFGSU level 2 is intended for professionals practising one of the health professions mentioned in the fourth part of the public health code and for students enrolled in a university, school or training institute preparing to obtain a diploma with a view to practising one of these health professions, and for people who hold, or are in the process of obtaining, the educational and social support diploma mentioned in article D. 451-88 of the Code de l'Action Sociale et des Familles, the diploma of medical regulation assistants, medical assistants, blood samplers for medical biology examinations and ambulance attendants.
