- Carry out checks for leaks, maintenance and servicing, commissioning, fluid recovery of equipment for all refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment.
- Know the regulations on fluids

As part of the dismantling or recovery of the refrigerants they contain,  any personnel handling them must hold a certification called a "certificate of aptitude". This certification is also mandatory to purchase refrigerants.

The training is aimed at operators who carry out services on refrigeration and air conditioning systems and installations (including heat pumps), containing refrigerants alone or in mixtures.

  • ISO standard units for temperature, pressure, mass, density and energy, basic characteristics of thermodynamic systems
  • Exploitation of tables and graphs
  • The function of the main system components (compressor, evaporator, condenser, thermostatic expansion valves) and the thermodynamic transformations of the refrigerant during the cycle
  • The basic operation of the components
  • The greenhouse effect phenomenon, the impact of CFC- and HCFC-based refrigerants on the stratospheric ozone layer and the impact of CFC-, HCFC- and HFC-based refrigerants on the climate
  • The provisions of the regulation on the use of CFCs and HCFCs as refrigerants
  • Manipulation : A pressure test to check the strength and tightness of the system.
  • Vacuuming of the system to remove air and moisture
  • Equipment and leak test monitoring records; the report covering one or more of the tests and checks carried out during the assessment
  • Potential leakage points of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment
  • Visual and manual inspection of the entire system within the meaning of the regulation
  • System leakage checks using an indirect method and one of the direct methods referred to in the regulation.
  • Portable measuring instruments - manometers, thermometers and multimeters - to measure volts, amperes and ohms using indirect methods of leak testing, and to interpret the measured parameters
  • Electronic leak detection equipment
.
  • Certification of prior learning
