Hospital sterilisation agent

Acquire the necessary qualification to develop the following skills, participating in the prevention of nosocomial infections:
-process materials and products from care and medico-technical departments with a view to their sterilisation
-proceed with the cleaning of premises, packaging, sterilisation and release of the load of Medical Devices
-assure in particular: receiving, checking, controlling and sorting equipment to be sterilised, washing and drying, recomposing, packaging medical-surgical equipment, dressings, folding and packaging linen to be sterilised, starting up and validating cycles, managing sterile stock, preparing delivery to departments according to stock requirements.

- The premises of the sterilisation department

- Medical Devices: DM

- Hospital hygiene

- Microbiology

- Steam sterilisation: Autoclave theory

- Other sterilisation processes

- Management and Quality - Instructions

- Stages in the sterile DM preparation process

- IT, word processing Communication

- Sustainable Development in a hospital environment, particularly in a sterilisation department.

• All audiences

Be at least 18 years of age and have a level of education at least equal to Level V

Be up to date with vaccinations, including proof of hepatitis B

Have a clean criminal record

Be capable of independent work, physical stamina, balance and maturity Have a high degree of availability for variable working hours (evenings, weekends, etc.) and the ability to work in a confined environment (damp and hot).
