With the introduction of CSR (Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility), companies in all sectors of activity are stepping up their responsibility for the purchasing required to diversify their sources of supply, both in France and internationally. Buyers, particularly international buyers, need to be able to take account of geopolitical aspects and country risk management as suppliers become increasingly globalised. They are becoming orchestral conductors capable of managing internal and external stakeholders. Their missions are diversifying, and they are making a greater contribution to the company's overall strategy. They must demonstrate skills that are no longer just technical, but also human. The qualities sought are adaptability, curiosity and above all interpersonal skills, being in constant contact with internal customers and suppliers.
