The building maintenance agent works in establishments open to the public (ERP) but also in multi-service personal assistance structures for routine maintenance (preventive or corrective) to remedy a fault or defect, or to make improvements to development or rehabilitation work. The main objectives of the training are to equip the operative with skills enabling him/her to :
Assuring the routine preventive maintenance of joinery and closures, the electrical installation, the thermal and sanitary installation in buildings
Establishing a diagnosis when a malfunction or damage is observed and carrying out repairs within the limits of his/her skills,
Involving a specialist company if necessary

The Building Maintenance Agent vocational qualification consists of three Certificates of Professional Competence (CCP).
CCP Carrying out routine maintenance on a building's interior fittings
CCP Carrying out routine maintenance on a building's electrical installation and equipment
CCP Carrying out routine maintenance on a building's thermal and sanitary installation and equipment
Two other modules complete the training.
Electrical qualification
To become a Technical Manager for Energy Efficiency in Existing Dwellings (RETEELE)
A period in a company is also offered.
Professional qualification from the Ministry of Labour

Maximum total duration of 1,757 hours, including 1,057 hours on the job and 700 hours at the training centre.
