To bring together the skills and knowledge required to receive and welcome customers:
- welcoming customers to the reception service (in French and English)
- advising customers on how to organise their stay in the best possible way (in French and English)
- promoting, communicating and selling the establishment's services
- processing booking requests for all hotel services (in French and English)
- managing and implementing customer arrival and departure operations
- closing the reception service activity
- transmitting and updating information relating to the reception service activity


The training is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

  • Welcoming and assisting customers in French and English, either in person or remotely, meeting their needs, handling complaints and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Advising guests on organising their stay, providing information on tourist attractions and booking services with partners.
  • Manage arrivals and departures, bookings, payments, invoicing and monitoring the establishment’s occupancy rates.
  • Monitor reception activities, check accounts, close the day’s accounts, produce activity reports, monitor online reputation and contribute to business development.

BC01 – Carry out operations relating to guests’ stays

BC02 - Close the day’s operations and contribute to the management of online distribution and the monitoring of the hotel’s online reputation

Throughout the course, students receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables learners to develop professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Maximum total duration of 1,081 hours, including 245 hours in a company and 836 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

Be motivated by this job, have a good image of it, be aware of and accept the conditions under which it is carried out and the responsibilities involved: staggered working hours, pressure management, periods of overactivity, prolonged standing, etc.)

Have a fairly good level of written and spoken English, a good level of written and spoken French, have a perfect command of basic mathematical operations (arithmetic, proportionality, ratios, simple equations).
If possible, experience of working in a hotel or customer reception area

Education Nationale certified teachers, Bac +3 trainers with significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.


For this professional qualification, ongoing assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member examination panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination panel validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the professional competence certificates (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained are valid for a period of five years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing modules to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
