Joiner fitter vocational qualification

Joinery fitters work on construction sites for new and existing individual and collective housing, and public buildings. Outside, they install doors, windows, shutters, gates and blinds, with or without motorisation. Indoors, he adapts and installs doors, staircases, parquet flooring and furniture elements (dressing rooms, kitchens, bathrooms).

The holder of the Carpenter fitter vocational qualification is able to:

• prepare and organise the execution of installation work based on a technical file
• install and fit joinery, external closures and external security and solar protection elements. Fit out a space for private or professional use indoors
• inform the customer about the conditions of use and maintenance of the equipment installed
• take part in the acceptance of the site with the team leader or company manager
• comply with individual and collective health and safety rules

The training is based around 3 professional skills certificates (CCP):

CCP1 - Install and equip joinery and external closures

• Prepare and organise the execution of work to install joinery and external closures
• Install external doors and windows
• Install swinging and rolling shutters

CCP2 - Install and equip security and solar protection elements

• Prepare and organise the execution of work to install joinery and external closures
• Install external doors and windows

    CCP3 - Fitting out an interior space for private or professional use

    • Fitting and installing interior furnishings
    • Installing and connecting sanitary, electrical and household electrical equipment
