The aim of this certification course is to qualify jobseekers as hotel and open-air hotel room staff. The hotel and open-air hotel room attendant is responsible for the upkeep of rooms, sanitary facilities and traffic areas in the accommodation department, complying with hygiene rules, safety principles and economy of effort. He/she takes instructions from his/her hierarchy concerning the day's objectives, specific tasks and remarks relating to the organisation of work. Supplies the room and bathroom with toiletries, towels and consumables. He/she checks that the equipment is working properly and reports any malfunctions or incidents to the hierarchy.

Accessible to people with disabilitiesFor the work experience modules, trainees work in a teaching hotel / teaching room or hotel accommodation establishment under agreement with the training centre, with customer rooms equipped with technical equipment and resources, in line with the productions specified in the programme and the certification reference framework.
For the theory modules a room equipped with sufficient tables and chairs with flipchart, TV screen or video projector, sufficient computer equipment with office software and internet access.
