The pipe fitter is involved in the construction of wastewater collection, rainwater collection and drinking water distribution works.
On completion of the course, the learner will be able to:
Contribute to public service missions related to drinking water supply, wastewater and rainwater collection and treatment
Participate in environmental protection and flood risk prevention as part of ecological transition policies
Implement operations to make a pipeline worksite safe (signposting, collective protection)
Repérer, identifier et piqueter les réseaux et ouvrages existants à partir de plans et d'observations de terrain
Participer à l'implantation des ouvrages projetés et à la préparation des tranchées
Réaliser les travaux de terrassement, laying and assembling pipes and ancillary structures
Performing backfilling operations, restoring roads and public spaces
Conducting or participating in leakage tests and disinfecting networks before commissioning
Applying collective and individual safety rules, identifying occupational hazards and implementing appropriate preventive measures
Integrating the principles of sustainable construction, responsible resource management and waste reduction
Adopt environmentally-friendly practices limiting the impact of work on ecosystems
Contribute to raising team awareness of good environmental and safety practices
Work as a team in compliance with instructions, current regulations and public infrastructure quality requirements
