Cleaning a private individual's home and laundry

  • Establishing a professional relationship as part of a cleaning service in a private individual's home
  • Cleaning the home using appropriate techniques and professional gestures

The course is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to encourage hands-on, progressive learning.

BC01 - Maintaining a private individual’s home and laundry

  • Establishing a professional relationship whilst providing a cleaning service in a private individual’s home
  • Maintaining the home using appropriate professional techniques and methods
  • Laundering using appropriate professional techniques and methods

BC02 -Supporting the person in their essential daily activities and personal projects

  • Establish a professional relationship with the person and their family and friends
  • Prevent risks, arrange for support and deal with emergency situations whilst providing support services - SST or APS-ASD certificate
  • Support the person in achieving their goals and maintaining social connections
  • Assist the person with personal hygiene, dressing and mobility
  • Assist the person with shopping, preparing and eating meals
  • Tailor support to the needs of the person with a disability

BC03 -Provide respite for the parent in looking after the child at home

  • Agreeing with the parent on the framework for supporting the child
  • Preventing risks and ensuring the child’s safety
  • Supporting the child with basic learning, their socialisation and during their activities
  • Applying the appropriate professional techniques and procedures during waking and bedtime routines, personal hygiene, dressing and mealtimes

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop their professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.

Maximum total duration of 941 hours, including 175 hours on the job and 766 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of written and oral instructions, and master the 4 mathematical operations
  • Be capable of sociability and altruism, self-sufficiency in work, physical stamina (mobilising people, carrying loads, household chores), a sense of responsibility and maturity, have a high degree of availability for variable hours (evenings, weekends).

For this professional qualification, ongoing assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member examination panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination panel validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the professional competence certificates (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained are valid for a period of five years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing modules to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
