Acquire the skills needed to work as a medico-social service agent in medico-social structures housing the elderly :

  • Carry out the cleaning and biocleaning of premises, adapting to the presence of residents
  • Contribute to the provision of hotel services (linen and meals) in compliance with the establishment's quality standards
  • Assist residents with the activities of daily life, taking account of the personalised support project
  • Co-operate with the care team as part of a multi-professional team effort

The training programme is organised into several skill modules, enabling step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical application and assessment sessions to promote hands-on, progressive learning.

Induction period: Welcome, presentation of training objectives, familiarisation with the working environment, raising awareness of sustainable development, tailoring the training programme – Familiarisation with new information and communication technologies

BC01 - Carrying out cleaning and eco-cleaning of the premises whilst adapting to the presence of residents

  • Clean the premises and communal washrooms in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Apply bio-cleaning protocols to rooms and surfaces

BC02 - Contribute to the provision of hospitality services whilst adhering to the establishment’s quality standards

  • Assist with the launderies of residents and the establishment
  • Serve residents’ meals in accordance with the care team’s instructions

BC03 - Assist residents in their daily lives, taking into account their personalised care plans

  • Assist residents with mobility and social activities, following the care team’s instructions
  • Support residents in eating and drinking independently, in accordance with the care team’s instructions

SST - First-aid at work

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs.

A work placement also enables students to develop their professional skills in a real-world setting.

Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course.

Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learners to learn in conditions that closely resemble the real working world.

Total maximum duration of 693 hours, including 441 hours on the job and 252 hours at the training centre.
The duration of the course is indicative and will be determined according to your profile.

For this professional qualification, ongoing assessments (ECF) are organised throughout the course to evaluate the candidate’s progress and their mastery of professional skills.

The final examination takes place before a two-member examination panel comprising professionals from the sector. It comprises a professional role-play and an interview based on the professional portfolio (DP), which highlights the experience and skills developed by the candidate.

The final examination takes place within two months of the end of the training course.

The examination panel validates all or part of the Professional Qualification. In the event of partial validation, the professional competence certificates (CCP) (or competence modules) obtained are valid for a period of five years.

The candidate may subsequently complete the missing modules to obtain the Professional Qualification in its entirety.
