The CQP APS has evolved into the Titre à finalité professionnelle Agent de prévention et de sécurité. A genuine passport for entry into the profession, this qualification, for which ADEF is still the certifier, is eligible for CPF, VAE and is open to apprenticeships. It enables you to acquire the knowledge to sit the examination to obtain the professional prevention and security agent card. The prevention and security agent provides reception, information and intelligence services in line with the commercial image of the employing company and/or customer. They may work day or night, alone or as part of a team, during the week or at weekends and on public holidays. Their work is based on compliance with legislation and the rules of discretion and confidentiality.
The regulatory duration of the Titre à finalité professionnelle is 175 hours (+ 7 hours examination). Depending on the course funder, a number of additional qualifications or modules to facilitate professional integration may be offered in addition: SSIAP1 / Electrical qualifications, SST, refresher course in mathematical French

Be of legal age when entering training
Provide prior authorisation to enter training issued by the CNAPS (clean criminal record). Only candidates with written confirmation of this prior authorisationcan enter the training course. The CNAPS response time may vary depending on the investigation carried out (between 8 days and one and a half months on average). Non-European Union nationals must hold a 5-year uninterrupted residence permit on French territory (verification carried out by the CNAPS cf fichier des étrangers résidant en France).

Depending on the profile, it is possible to undertake the BP ATPS (Professional Certificate in Technical Prevention and Security), the Vocational Baccalaureate in Security, or the BTS MOS (Operational Security Management) to broaden one’s skills.
The TFP Prevention and Security Officer qualification provides immediate access to the job market in the private security sector. Holders can work as security officers, prevention officers, access control officers or security guards, depending on the needs of the companies. This qualification provides a solid foundation for progression to specialised roles such as airport security, video surveillance, dog handling, close protection or any other private security role.
The SSIAP 1 certification opens the door to roles as a fire safety officer in public buildings and high-rise buildings. Duties include fire risk prevention, monitoring technical installations, assisting people and responding to alarms. This first level can be supplemented by further training to achieve SSIAP 2 or even SSIAP 3 directly, opening the way to roles such as team leader or department head.
