This training module is aimed at professional or experienced musicians and teachers. It will enable students to acquire techniques related to the tuning, upkeep/maintenance and simple repair work on a guitar or instruments in the same family (mandolin, ukulele, lute...)

Work on the musician's instrument or a typical instrument.

Adjustment of string pitch. Checking tunings and alignments.

Straightening, planimetry or adjusting the curvature of the neck (depending on the instrument)

Refretting / refretting - repairing fractures - changing saddles.

Maintenance of wood, varnishes.

Changing tuning machines, ungluing - re-gluing the bridge.

Possibility of learning other simple repair work according to the musician's specific needs.

This module will take place in the same workshop where guitar making will be carried out, giving everyone the opportunity to see very closely how this instrument is made and to participate according to their abilities.
