Pre-qualification for building trades and renewable energies

This training course enables trainees to discover and prepare for the various trades in the "Building" and "Renewable Energy" industries: mainly electricity, sanitary and thermal installations.

The aim is to develop basic skills as well as behavioural know-how for these various trades.

People who have completed this course will be able to join a level V qualification course in the various finishing and renewable energy sectors or move directly into a job as an unskilled worker.

Cross-curricular teaching: general; computing and the internet; job-seeking workshop; institutional and citizenship.

Technological and practical pre-vocational field :

renewable energies (solar, thermal and photovoltaic and eco-construction):

study of supports (framework and roofing)

study and installation of photovoltaic panels, solar collectors

study of energy savings, energy diagnostics

renewable energies

sanitary and thermal installations:

construction of heating and sanitary elements with assembly of heat emitter equipment, sanitary appliances-fitting of appliances and pipework supports-fitting and connection to appliances of pipework elements.

electricity:

tests and measurements on professional installations

electric power distribution

electric installation and equipment

painting:

performance of painting and rendering work to basic finish quality. Compliance with precise instructions. Application of paint and paper.

Be proficient in reading, writing and numeracy.
Be motivated to pursue a profession in the
building and public works sector.

Have checked their career plans beforehand and their attraction for the building and public works sector.

Have made an initial discovery of the sector (work placement, job, professional guidance service...) and/or be able to describe the conditions under which the profession is practised.
