Maintenance pre-qualification

The training aims to bring mechanical and electrical knowledge up to standard. On completion of the training, the trainee will be able to:
- carry out maintenance work on a mechanical assembly in an organised manner
- replace a faulty component
- read a mechanical drawing (pump, gearbox, lubrication schedule, maintenance schedule)
- read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams
- use manufacturers' catalogues
- take and interpret measurements on mechanical components
- take and interpret voltage and resistance readings
- use standard tools as well as specific tools (bearing extractor...)

Maintenance: reading mechanical drawings-vocabulary; metrology (calliper, micrometer, comparator); tooling; tolerances and adjustments; assembly means; rotational guidance; movement transmission; sealing; reading and understanding and wiring electrical and pneumatic diagrams; reading and understanding hydraulic diagrams (notion of pressure and flow); diagnostic method; use of measuring and equipment consignment devices.
Electricity: introduction to measuring equipment (ohmmeter, voltmeter, metric ampere clamp, metric watt clamp, oscilloscope); introduction to wiring and the use of different types of equipment; introduction to industrial wiring; carrying out wiring; introduction to industrial maintenance; study of variable speed drives; introduction to wiring a PLC, practical electrical accreditation tasks.
Construction drawing: reading and analysing industrial plans; using a 3D modeller; preparing for maintenance operations.
