PHOTOSHOP - TOSA Certification

• Achieve an Operational (TOSA from 551 to 725 points), Advanced (TOSA from 726 to 875 points), or Expert (TOSA from 876 to 1000 points) level to produce quality images that can be integrated into documents of all kinds.

The Initial (TOSA from 1 to 350 points) and Basic (TOSA from 351 to 550 points ) levels will issue a certificate of prior learning at the end of the course.

Domain 1: Interface, workspace and fundamentals

• Operational: Managing panels and tools, adjusting the workspace, understanding the basics of digital imaging (resolution, colour modes, formats).
• Advanced: Customise the interface, optimise colour profiles and use formats suitable for print and the web.
• Expert: Integrate plugins, automate tasks and optimise colour management across multiple media.

Domain 2: Image geometry and corrections

• Operational: Using transformation tools (resizing, rotation), adjusting brightness, contrast and colour balance.
• Advanced: Apply selective corrections and advanced retouching with Camera Raw.
• Expert: Exploit sophisticated correction techniques, create restorations and manipulate light and texture with precision.

Domain 3: Trimming, masks and photomontages

• Operational: Use selection tools (lasso, magic wand), manipulate layer masks and create simple photomontages.
• Advanced: Combine several clipping methods, refine masks and integrate blending effects.
• Expert: Produce professional compositions with 3D elements, special effects and advanced compositing techniques.

Domain 4: Effects, export and automation

• Operational: Apply layer styles, use appropriate export formats and automate simple tasks with actions.
• Advanced: Customise effects and optimise export for different media.
• Expert: Create photorealistic effects, integrate scripts and automate complex workflows.
