Data management skills on Microsoft Excel are particularly in demand include accounting and finance (to draw up budgets, make financial projections, produce reports and carry out market analysis), logistics (to optimise supply chains, manage stocks and track shipments), sales and marketing functions (to analyse market data, track campaign performance and manage customer databases), project management (to track resources, tasks and deadlines, and generate progress reports). However, the use of Excel software also includes professions requiring cross-disciplinary skills where the use of the software becomes a necessity (self-employment, sales, crafts, etc.).
