CAD/CAM design draughtsman - Solidworks

The mechanical construction draughtsman produces the overall drawing of the product and the detailed drawing of its component parts before it is manufactured.

The aim of the training is to acquire the skills needed to:

- Draw prototypes.

- Carry out a cost study

- Carry out product testing

- Improve candidates' autonomy and fluency in understanding technical documents written in the English language

Mechanical CAD software: 190 hours

• Design a volume model (creation and modification methodologies).
• Understand the different concepts of modelling an assembly.
• Create definition and assembly drawings from a 3D model.

Mechanical engineering: 70 hours

• Be able to draw up the specifications for a product in order to ensure its design and production.
• Understand and analyse the kinematics of a part or mechanism with a view to its design
• Be able to isolate a part and determine the forces applied to it, in order to optimise its geometry from the point of view of constraints
• Choose and optimise a material to meet customer specifications
• Complete the dimensioning of drawings in compliance with the standards in force for the methods office
• Have knowledge of manufacturing in order to optimise the design of parts with a view to their production

Teachers certified by the French Ministry of Education, trainers with 3 years' higher education qualifications and significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.
