The light vehicle recovery and towing specialist is capable of working on all types of vehicle, including special vehicles (LPG, electric).

He is capable of assessing and ensuring the safety of his intervention area in relation to users, the vehicles being transported, road traffic, and all the ancillary parameters linked to the context of light vehicle breakdown/towing.

He uses and implements individual (PPE) and collective (EPC) protective equipment.

He/she is capable of assessing the repair to be carried out and carrying out troubleshooting on the following systems: engine management, transmission, ground linkage, braking, electrical and multiplexed networks.

At the end of the course he will be able to:

  • use mechanical measurement and control tools
  • carry out towing of light vehicles: load, secure, transport and unload a rolling vehicle,
  • lift, load, secure, transport and unload a non-rolling vehicle, restore a clean roadway

He masters the use of handling and traction equipment (cable, pulley, basket, crane, etc.) and takes part in their maintenance.

He must also be able to organise and manage his work from an administrative, financial and regulatory point of view, while complying with the quality standards of his company or the company that employs him. etc.),

He must adapt his language to the different people he meets: users, principals, police forces, firefighters, in particular to reassure, inform and advise the customer.

TOWING A LIGHT VEHICLE

- Carry out the towing and unloading operation of a moving light vehicle

Total maximum duration of 528 hours, including 70 hours in a company and 458 hours at the training centre.
