SolidWorks is a 3D modeller using parametric design which allows the definition of the part to be changed easily.
This software generates 3 types of files (the part, the assembly and the drawing) which are automatically linked so that the part can be machined on a numerically controlled machine.
SolidWorks software is widely used by engineers thanks to its intuitive interface and powerful features which speed up the design process and give a so-called "photorealistic" rendering.
This course provides the basics of sketching tools, functions for creating massive parts, assemblies, and drawings.
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
Computing: knowledge of the Windows environment and data file management.
Technical: basic knowledge of geometry (plans, volumes), reading a simple technical plan.
