CAD - CATIA Version 5

The CATIA software is used to design parts and assemblies in three dimensions. This training module covers the main features of this software:

- design parts with more or less complex shapes

- make assemblies of designed parts

- make compliant definition drawings

MASTERING THE MAIN CATIA V5 WORKSHOPS

Part Design (basic CATIA V5 workshop): 2D sketching then transition to 3D

Assembly Design: creating an assembly of parts Drafting : standardised graphical representation of parts

DECOVER THE OTHER WORKSHOPS OF CATIA V5

Kinematics: simulations of operating kinematics and/or assembly/disassembly of sets of parts.

Wireframe and Surface Design: creation of curves and left-handed surfaces directly in 3D.

Generative Structural Analysis: visualisation of the deformations and stresses of a mechanical part in its environment

Knowledge of technical drawing codes (industrial or building).

Notions of mechanical construction and manufacturing technology.

Knowledge and practice of computer tools and the Microsoft Windows environment.

Teachers certified by the French Ministry of Education, trainers with 3 years' higher education qualifications and significant experience in adult education, professional lecturers.
