CREATION of DCP: transformation of alternative animated content into DCP

The aim of the course is to give projectionists the technical tools to transform different sources and image media into trailers on DCP.

At the end of the course, they will be able to independently transform existing trailers into DCP.

This course complements the Level 1 DCP CREATION course: simple DCP, cardboard, text and still images

Understanding the basics of audio and video encoding

- encapsulating audio and video sources, codecs, re-encoding

Review of the constraints linked to the creation of DCP

- standardising text or image content in DCinema 2K/4K format

Re-encoding an audio or video stream

- introduction to the tools for re--audio and video encoding tools)

Exporting and creating a DCP

- using DCP creation software

The course leaves plenty of room for putting the theoretical input into practice by creating concrete examples of trailers that can be broadcast as DCPs.
