The holder of the BTS CRCI - design and production in industrial boiler making is a specialist in products, works and processes in the fields of boiler making, sheet metal work, industrial piping and metal structures. They are involved at all levels, from design to manufacture, through to the production of products and structures. Holders of this diploma specialise in drawing up overall plans and detailed plans for sheet metal structures, organising the manufacture of components for these assemblies, and monitoring and controlling installation sites. The course also covers aspects relating to drawing up estimates and costs, the use of CAD and CAM software, production management and team management.

At the end of the course, the holder will be able to : manage a manufacturing unit by guaranteeing production and quality, provide a technical and economic response to a customer's request, manage, in human, material and economic terms, a manufacturing unit and/or a worksite, design a work from the specification of the need to the detailed design, within the framework of a creation or rehabilitation, validate and optimise technically and economically the "product or work-process-process" relationship, design, with or without digital assistance, the process for producing a product or a work.

The training is organised into several skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

  • Predetermining the components of all or part of a pressure vessel assembly
  • Select and specify technologies and production methods

BC02 - Design of a pressure vessel assembly and its manufacturing process

  • Search for information in technical documentation, either on-site or remotely
  • Participate in a project team and justify technical choices
  • Design and define, either collaboratively or independently, all or part of a fabricated assembly
  • Develop manufacturing processes
  • Define and carry out real and/or simulated tests; prepare the qualification of a welding procedure
  • Propose technical, economic and environmental improvements to a manufacturing process
  • Define an inspection protocol

BC03 - Organisation and monitoring of production, prefabrication, installation and maintenance

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning to each individual’s needs. A work placement also enables students to develop their professional skills in a real-world setting. Skills are assessed progressively through role-plays, practical exercises, professional projects and assessments carried out throughout the course. Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, work-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, practical scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely resemble the real-world workplace.
