The Bachelor Personal Banking and Insurance Customer Advisor aims to train students to master the fundamentals of the job of sales advisor in the personal market and banking culture for retail banking activities (including in support functions or non-commercial entities).

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Advise an individual customer in a multi-channel environment
  • Manage an account and monitor day-to-day transactions
  • Propose solutions tailored to financing needs
  • Develop an individual customer portfolio
.

The course is organised into two skill modules, allowing for step-by-step progression. It alternates between theoretical input, practical exercises and assessment sessions to promote practical and progressive learning.

BC01 - Welcoming and assisting banking and insurance clients in a multi-channel environment, identifying and analysing their needs

  • Welcoming clients in person or remotely, adapting communication to each situation – including where clients have a disability – and building a relationship of trust.
  • Prepare for meetings by gathering relevant information, setting objectives and anticipating questions.
  • Conduct initial consultations in accordance with ethical standards, practise active listening and identify clients’ needs as well as business opportunities.
  • Analyse clients’ financial, legal and tax situations using documents and analytical tools, including digital and AI-based ones.
  • Draft meeting minutes to ensure a record of discussions and personalised case management.

BC02 – Advise on and market insurance, savings and financing solutions, whether for personal use or as part of one’s professional activity, in accordance with regulations and whilst respecting clients’ rights

  • Open bank accounts by verifying that applications are in order and explaining the services, terms and conditions of use.
  • Advise clients on payment methods and banking services suited to their needs and risk profile.
  • Suggest savings solutions by outlining their features, tax implications and benefits in line with the client’s objectives.
  • Recommend the property and casualty insurance policies best suited to the client’s situation and protection needs.
  • Support financing projects by proposing solutions tailored to clients’ repayment capacity.
  • Negotiate commercial and financial terms, address objections and close the sale in the best interests of both the client and the organisation.

Throughout the course, learners receive personalised support with regular monitoring by the teaching team and progress reviews to tailor the learning experience to each individual’s needs. Our teaching methodology prioritises a practical, industry-focused approach: case studies, role-plays, simulated scenarios and collaborative activities enable learning in conditions that closely mirror the realities of the workplace.
