 BAC PRO Industrial Boilermaking Technician

At the end of their training, industrial boilermaking technicians will be able to:

- participate in the implementation of various products, both in terms of their shape (flat, profiled, tubular, etc.) and their dimensions, assembly methods, and the nature of the materials used (metals, alloys, composite materials and plastics).

- manufacture boilerwork assemblies, sheet metal assemblies, industrial piping and metal structure frameworks

- by analysing and exploiting technical data

- using digital assistance in the preparation phase.

- rehabilitating sheet metal assemblies on site.

- mastering the various assembly techniques specific to the materials worked on (welding, riveting, bolting, gluing, etc.);

- using the machines characteristic of the trade, manually or digitally controlled, in particular laser cutting or plasma cutting machines, welding robots, etc.- using digital tools for the purposes of defining and producing structures.

- work in compliance with safety rules and instructions, anticipating and managing risk.

- work as part of a team and with respect for the environment.


BC01 - Analysis, exploitation of technical data and preparation with digital assistance of one or more boilerwork creations
- Search for information in technical documentation, locally
or remotely.
- Interpret and check the definition data for all or part of a
boilerwork assembly.
- Prepare the manufacture of all or part of a boilerwork assembly.

BC02 - Manufacture all or part of a boilerwork assembly
- Formulate and transmit information, communicate in written
and oral form.
- Configure and adjust workstations.
- Make one or more elements of all or part of a
boilerwork assembly.
- Make proposals for improving a manufacturing station.
- Assemble the elements of all or part of a boilerwork assembly.
- Check completion.

BC03 - On-site rehabilitation of one or more boilerwork assemblies
- Get involved in a group.
- Use a manufacturing schedule.
- Rehabilitate all or part of a boilerwork assembly on site.
- Comply with safety and environmental
procedures.

BC04 - Mathematics - Search for, extract and organise information - Propose, choose and carry out a method of solution - Experiment, simulate - Report on an approach, a result, orally or in writing

BC05 - Physics-chemistry - Implement an experimental protocol and report on it.

BC06 - Economics - management - Conduct an analysis of professional situations (risk, Work, Accident) - Propose and justify appropriate preventive measures, actions enabling effective intervention in an emergency situation

BC07 - Prevention-health-environment

BC08 - Modern language

BC09 - French - Communicate effectively in writing and orally - Interpret texts or documents critically - Exchange knowledge and values

BC10 - History-geography-moral and civic education- Understand the diversity of societies and the richness of cultures - Understand the issues involved in sustainable development - Identify the issues and constraints of globalisation - Identify civil, Identify civil, political, economic and social rights and duties

BC11 - Applied arts and artistic culture- Identify the essential characteristics of works and creations - Master the basics of using traditional and computer graphics tools

BC12 - Physical education and sport (apprenticeship pathway)

Maximum total duration of 1,350 hours, including 1,870 hours in a company and 3,220 hours at the training centre.
