ENGLISH TOEIC® 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing)

The TOEIC® 4 Skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) certification was developed to assess the English language skills required for oral and written comprehension and expression, regardless of the professional context. It measures a non-native speaker’s ability to communicate in English in a professional setting.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand spoken messages in English in a professional context
• Express themselves orally with greater fluency, clarity and precision
• Read and make use of professional documents in English
• Write simple to structured professional texts
• Master the formats, guidelines and requirements of the TOEIC® 4 Skills certification
• Develop effective test-taking strategies

The course helps you develop the following skills:

Listening comprehension

• Identifying key information in conversations, announcements, discussions and presentations
• Understanding the main idea and explicit details
• Answering questions within a time limit

Speaking

• Reading aloud with appropriate pronunciation and intonation
• Repeating sentences heard
• Describe an image, a situation or a professional context
• Give a simple opinion, followed by a reasoned argument
• Produce a comprehensible speech appropriate to the context

Reading comprehension

• Understand professional texts of increasing complexity
• Identify explicit and implicit information
• Read emails, notes, tables, instructions and various documents effectively
• Answer questions within a set time limit

Written expression

• Constructing correct sentences
• Writing professional emails
• Responding to written requests
• Expressing ideas, opinions and simple arguments
• Use vocabulary and grammar appropriate to a professional context

• TOEIC certificate (ETS GLOBAL)

The course combines face-to-face and/or distance learning. Learning takes place through a mix of sessions at the centre, virtual classes, online resources and regular support from the trainer.
